    does he look thin?
I had someone tell me he looks way underweight but I dont know if he looks like it or not? He has eaten 3 weaned rats in the past 13 days and I couldnt get a good background so I just set him on the hard purple sand just for a picture trust me I wouldnt have him on sand. And yes he is in shed mode right now.

He is extremely small for a late 2010 too but I dont think he looks underweight...he needs to gain some size for next years breeding season though he has a purtty new pastel girlfriend :D

Do you know how much he weighs in grams?
He looks a tad on the thin side but not dangerously. IMO
As long as you get him on a regular weekly feeding schedule he should plump up.
Just dont over do it on the feeding, you dont want to power feed him.

Doesn't look too thin but does look super dehydrated. Give him a soak in about a quarter inch of lukewarm water for about 20 minutes.

for a late 2010 I would say thats on track, some snakes just grow differently and as long as the right husbandry for this snake is being provided then he should thicken out.
I agree he looks a bit dry, even if hes in shed he just looks a little rough. A good soak will help him with the upcoming shed.

With the way his skin is all wrinkly and rough looking like that, with little pieces coming off like you said, I'd strongly recommend giving him a good soak or he may not even be able to shed.

I would personally wait to soak him until after he tries to shed. Soaking right before a shed will also make it wonky, then only the stomach will come off.
