    Megaphobema robustum
Snapped a couple pics of my Megaphobema robustum today. It's tunnels and hide caved in last night some how so I decided to fix them today and see if I could tell what its looking like gender wise. Looks male :( I have been getting so many confirmations of females lately that I was bound to hit a male at some point. It's not a confirmed male but I am pretty sure it will end up being a male. Anyways, here's a couple pics :salute:

Thanks!!! He is not very social at all unfortunately :( Big burrower!!! I never get to see him unless I turn his critter keeper around and look at him through the back. I don't think I have ever even busted him out and about before. The only reason he was out now is because I had to pull him out to fix his little spot up - lol.

Thanks Brian!! The hairs on the back legs of the robustums are VERY bad!! They can actually spin around in a circle to try to hit you with their back legs. The cart wheel of death or something it's called. They can kick hairs too but the cartwheel defense thing is very unique. I have heard of reports where they were known to draw blood with the hairs on the backs of their legs. I have never seen these reports myself though (not that I don't beleive it, just saying I have no actual proof of it if someone asked for it)...

That's funny. I was about to ask about some missile hair defense system but thought twice about it because I don't have any idea what I'm talking about. That's nuts.

Wow, still a very pretty boy! I remember actually seeing a M. Robustum in Costa Rica! Awesome spiders, I love their cartwheel of death :P
