    Question About Breeding?
    I have heard that some ball pythons can breed out of season is this true? That sometimes they will breed without cooling period. im just wondering ....

    Yes that is true. The cooling period isn't a "have to do" thing, it is just used to more closely simulate a natural breeding cycle and encourage the animals to breed by making them think it is the time of year when they would normally breed in the wild. A lot of breeders will breed their ball pythons whenever they feel they are ready (at the proper weight or in the case of females that have laid recently, when she is back to her pre-lay weight.)

    This also helps larger breeders to avoid all the extra work involved with having a large quantity of eggs to incubate and hatchlings to deal with all at once. Plus, when they spread out females it allows them to have babies available for sale all the time and not just once a year.
