    Tried Something New
So my male ball has been finicky with his food lately since it is breeding season. I know they CAN go off feed for almost 8 months, but the fact that he'd had nothing to eat in a few weeks just bothered me. So, I decided to pick up a few ASFs to try out after hearing that ASFs put them back into eating mode like butter.... and sure enough the one I offered him disappeared and a little lump in his belly appeared. I am satisfied. Definitely planning on stocking the freezer with them for him if the next few feedings go as well as todays. Anyone else use ASFs?

It's all good if he gets "stuck" on them, the post above you is actually who I got them from :) My ball has always been a picky eater. He was the last one from his clutch to start eating and had to be force fed as a baby. So if he's eating something I am happy. If I ever end up moving too far away I'll start up a small colony of them for him. Since I just have the one ball at the moment it's not too big of a worry for me right now. But I do appreciate the concern.. I've heard of someone giving their ball a baby rabbit for easter and it getting stuck on those... :worry:
