Bad shed help

I recently purchased an adult breeder female.. Ate 2 mice the day she got back. Tub at 55% began shedding after a week. I noticed she was dropping in patches.. Ive been soaking her. And slowly raising the humiditu.. Went over board at its at 80% working it down.. But its been over a week and shes still slowly dropping skin. My male took 24 hours and it was in one big chunk. What could be wrong??

While humidity is the main and most common problem with shedding, other factors can cause a bad shed. The stress of moving, new home ect... could have also been factors along with the low shed humidity.
Next shed will probably a normal shed, don't worry too much about the cause.

Just make sure the eyes are clear

Put the snake in a damp pillow case and then set in it's cage for a bit.That should help with getting it off. Good luck.

my snakes have bad sheds in the months my central air is on due to the a/c pulls the humidity out of the air..

Well good news.. Seems likes shes finally done. Got home tonight and checked on her and shes good. Infact she is a whole new snake. Before she was kinda skittish and standoffish and now shes a big puppy dog.. No head or tail shyness.. Doesnt flee at all. Awesome
