    Gray tubs or clear tubs...
    Which one is better..i see some big breeders with gray tubs and was just wondering how they work ...does the day light get in too the tubs...and 1 more question 41qt or 32qt size for the big guys....building another rack..the 41qt is around 30inches long an seems skinny the 32qt is around 23 inches long but wider..thanks for the help...RichieBoo

    The tubs don't really matter. BPs don't need light as they are nocturnal.

    As far as tub size. If you are breeding, I personally wouldn't put females in anything but a 41 qt. I had bad luck with 32 qts as well as a friend of mine. 41 qt tubs give them much more room to thermoregulate.

    I use grey tubs and feel the ball pythons feel more secure in them. Daylight still trickles in from the air holes so they still get a since of day/night cycle.

    I use clear tubs and have had no issues with feeding or breeding in them.

    I agree with Stephanie, I wouldn't breed in tubs smaller than 40qt tubs.

    I personally prefer clear as I like to see my snakes through the tub and it's easier to spot any feces or problems going on with the snake.

    Doesn't matter whether the tub is gray or clear. Gray seems like it would make the snake feel more secure, but it's more personal preference I suppose.
