Need help to start feeding

My first two hatchlings ( out of a clutch of 8 :tears: ) will not eat for me. I have tried rat pinks and mice hopper and they just ignore them. I'm trying to stay away from soft furs, as I know soft furs are harder to rehome, but I'm afraid I might have to give in to these little turds.

Before I do though, anyone have any suggestions to get them started on rats or mice? I'm open for anything at this point, if it keeps me from feeding them asf's!

I have 1 female Bee whose being a turd also, when it comes to feeding, the other female Bee will only take the asf's, while the male Bee is a chow houng on rat fuzzys already, go figure. I will be assisting the stubborn one with an asf crawler.

I would just be patient and keep offering every 5 days, if there is significant weight loss, then assist, hopefully you'll only have to do it once.

Have you tried assist feeding yet? Sometimes just pressing the head of the prey against their mouth will work, and sometimes you may have to place the head of the prey in their mouth. Usually, that is all that is needed for them to figure the rest of it out. Good luck!!!

Sorry I should have said in my original post that yes they have been assist fed. Twice actually. Rat pinks both times. But whenever I offer pinks they ignore, and the same with hoppers. Maybe I should just try asf's and see if they will take them?
