    New 4 tub Rodent Rack
Sorry that I didn't capture pictures of the entire process. I just wanted to show off my new 4 tub rat rack that I built completely out of scrap wood. My parents had to tear down an old deck so I was able to scrap the wood. Still cost me $98 for the tubs and the screen and screws at my local Home Depot. I just used basic measurements I found on Rodentracks.com I will be adding a watering system but just happy to have this much done so far. Anyway here's a couple shots of it.

The tubs are way big though, I'm probably gonna have to build a smaller one.

Sweet, looks similar to mine except shorter. Mine is 4 tubs too.

Looks like you plan on doing mice then? I think with that you should do rats instead :) And its the perfect size for em. They grow faster I think and don't smell as bad, plus they are sweeter and more nutritious.

Theres no way i could do mice in these the tubs are 20 gallons. Like 2 feet by 3 feet. I could put 50 mice in one tub lol. The mice wouldnt be able to get to the food cause the tub is probably 8" deep

I only said mice because you said the tubs were too big. However 2x3? Mine are 17 x 26 or so, and these look like the same racks, and it is not near being too big for rats. It is just the right size, maybe even small. So if you have bigger tubs than the ones I have, I think you could comfortably fit 1.4 rats in each one.

my tubs are 36” x 24” x 8”. They are good for rats, mice would be too small for them, Just saying they were too big as now I will probably only be using two tubs for what I need. Im just happy to finally have one though.

I have several racks using the same 2'x3' tubs. I run 1.8 in them harem style.

A watering system is a must.

I use the pellet bedding for easiest clean up.

i suggest you invest in wheels for clean up behind the rack.

I did a 3 tub like that for my "feeders"...........my breeders are in a 6 tub unit with the smaller tubs (1.2)

are these for rats...just looking at them it seems like you put the tubs too close to each other...and i only say this coz you want to have some air circulation...the spacers i used for the tubs were 10 inches i believe...mine are 6 tubs each and other then having a couple of floods, they work great. I did have to reinforce them with more wood as 2x2s sukk for these racks but now it seems theyre alot more sturdy...i also added casters at the bottom so i can move them to clean behind them coz these rats are clean freaks...great job
