    Any Suggestions?
    Hey guys,

Ok so here's the deal...my hypo het anery RTB is about 3 ft long (he's an '10)...he really hasn't been much of a fuss to keep at all so far. But the past few feedings he has struck at the f/t rat and I think he has it so I let go and so does he...he will then repeatedly strike at me as I walk around his tank (he follows) as if he thinks I am dinner...he eventually will turn to his "real" dinner and eat with no problem...I guess I want to know if this behavior is "normal" and should I be worried about him developing aggression towards me alone? I forgot to mention he is fed very properly and never refuses a meal so it's not a hungry snake turning on me...do you all think that switching him to live prey will solve this problem? He is a tough SOB so I'm not incredibly worried about him getting hurt although I'm well aware there is that risk if I make the switch...thanks for your input guys!

He's in feeding mode, nothing to worry about.
Leave him on f/t, cause when he gets to be a large snake you'll be feeding xxxL to jumbo rats, and they can do damge.

Other than feeding day he is pretty mellow...but it's like he knows when feeding time is before I even attempt to offer...as soon as I start to run the water to thaw out the rats he starts pacing lol I guess I was just curious if he will grow out of this behavior or will I have to duck and dodge an adult boa in the future lol

It sounds to me like he may be stressed out. Try to think of things in his environment that would be stressing him out, and alter them so he feels more secure. I hope this helps.
