    Poecilotheria subfusca looking female...
Got a couple pics of one of my FAVORITE pokies today, Poecilotheria subfusca. She is a sweet heart of a pokey so far!! I say she but it is uncomfirmed by a molt. BUT I got a good ventral look today and I am pretty sure it is a female :salute:

Question: How are you able to get a good look at her ventral section if she's so darn pokey?? Do you just wait till she climbs up the side of the bin then look? Gloves? Ouch?

Noob here when it comes to the Inverts

And likewise.. I am beginning to enjoy looking at them.. AHHH!

Thanks!!! You should like them :-) My wife don't like spiders at all - lol. She tolerates them because I like them and I make sure that 100% I have no escapees. Now and again I will bust her looking in a tank but it doesn't happen very often - lol.

Thanks!! And yes you usually just wait to catch them when they are out and about. But you can pinch grab them to look, durring rehousing or you can cup them and check out what's going on under the hood :-)

The pinch grab scares me sometimes. I don't want to hurt the T. I was the same way as your wife. Then I got the addiction, lol. Started here as just a bp owner, now I post in this section more than anything.

I absolutely love the subfusca! Nice girl you have there :gj: when I move out I'll get me some OWs, right now I don't think it's fair to make my severely arachnophobic mother live with fast, more venomous T's.

In a little over a year, I shall have some... muahaha

I am NOT a big fan of the pinch grab myself for the same reason!! I am glad to see you came around sadly I can bet a million dollars my wife never will  But as long as she is cool about it and allows me to work with them then that's all that matters :D And she is a cool chic so I don't think that will ever change :salute:

Thanks!! you will enjoy the old worlds VERY much I think as long as you don't get bit :P subfusca, metallica, miranda and regalis are my absolute favorite pokies!!!!! I actually have a 6" confirmed female regalis coming in tomorrow or the next day  Along with a 2" female Brachypelma vagans and a 1.5" unsexed Ephebopus cyaneognathus (Blue Fang). Very excited about the big regalis and the blue fang!! Never owned a blue fang before. I will get lots of pics of it because once it burrows I wont see it again until I rehouse it  Wait that's not really funny, that kind of stinks :weirdface :D

Oooh, sweet! :D I adore the bluefang! I was about to get one a while ago but decided against it because I can put dirt in a jar and dig a hole in it myself :P

Can't wait to see pics of them all!
