If you mean double rex, both parents would have to be rex to produce double rex. And this rat is neither rex nor double rex, because it's coat and whiskers are very straight.
I think Alergies are also a possibility! Do you see him scratching the effected areas at all?

No rex in any of my rats that I know if.

I guess it is a possibility, but I have had all of my rats on kiln dried pine since I started breeding them.

I haven't noticed him scratching and I've seen cats and dogs with allergies that lick or scratch their fur off and usually there is scabbing or a cut etc in the affected area, there is no such thing associated with this rat.

There are several different hairless and modifying hair density genes. I wouldn't worry about it. I recently found an interesting hairless gene in my colony. Most will grow back after their first molt and you'll never know anything happened to them.
It doesn't look irritated to me though, so it doesn't really look like an allergy.
