Herps I've found or Seen

I hope this is posted in the right place. I thought I'd upload a few pictures of a Brown House Snake I found in my garden last year, and a little frog that I rescued from a vegetable store. I found it in a crate of bananas that they where packing into the fridges. I quickly got a bag and caught it, then released it into the bushes.

This summer I'm going to be looking for Herps in the wild seriously, and on my list will be: Nile Monitor(Leguaan), Chameleons, Puff Adder, Red Lipped Herald and of course an African Rock Python(Python Natalensis).

That's really cool! The frog looks like some kind of tree frog but I've never seen one like it. I like how you get house snakes in your yard. I love house snakes. I wish they were native to the US and I could get them in MY yard :(

Lol, ya they really are house snakes. They love the common house geckos we get here! I'm pretty sure it's a tree frog, I posted the pics on a South African forum, so one of the guys will let me know! It's sometimes tempting to try catch one of these BHS and then keep them, the problem is that when they're wild they eat Geckos and other lizards and they don't often adapt to eating pinkies or mice. Thats not so bad in summer when the Geckos are abundant but in winter it's a problem!

After finding 2 ft garter snakes in my yard for years, the idea of finding an ARP while field herping boggles my mind XD Good luck, and take pics!

I've only ever seen a wild Afroc twice. They're not what you call rare, but are not super abundant either. It'll take a lot of work to find one but I'm pretty determined, lol!

The Puff Adders are very common, as are Red lipped Heralds, and night adders. I also want photos of a rhombic egg eater. And of course the monitors!
