Ball python striking at walls of cage

So today after handling my cinny female and cleaning her cage she has been trying to strike at me when I move past her enclosure. I know it might be a feeding response but I just fed her 4 days ago. I fed her a mouse that was 18 grams and she only weight 100 grams. Am I not feeding her big enough prey or is something else going on??

Put her on a 5 day feeding schedule, that may help :)

She is maybe she's just a pig and always wants to eat lol

I would also offer her more privacy, by blocking out 3 sides of the tank, & turning the entrance of the hides to the back of the tank.

It does sound like stress striking. I agree with blacking out the cage sides and offering a little more privacy.

My male spotnose used to do that, but he was an aggressive little snot. He's calmed down now that he's realized I just don't care any more.

My het pied Minnie did that until she figured out that the only result was a sore snout and getting laughed at.

My lady Lesser likes to do that. I just try to give her as much clutter in her bin to give her privacy. Crumpled up newspaper and a couple hides really does the trick.

GWell I decided to feed her today and she crushed it. Might have just been hungry. I've had her a month now and she isn't aggressive I handle her often. Sides are blacked out with 2 hides. It just scared me I didn't want her to hurt herself lol. On another note what is considered proper prey size in weight? Like for a 100 gram snake what should the prey weigh?

I try for 10-15% of their body weight, so I would feed a 100g snake a 10-15g mouse/rat.
