    Rough Draft Logo
Seeing that I'm getting my business license in a week or so, I figured I'd start making a logo. I haven't messed with Photoshop in years, so this is completely a rough sketch. As I tinker with it more, it can only get better.

Any thoughts, ideas, criticism, and comments are welcome.

Everything was my idea, I did not steal nor copy from anyone. Even the snake in the background is my photograph. If this resembles anyone's logo, I apologize. I was making this as my wife cooked dinner, and do not intend to offend anyone else's idea.

^Just wanted to add that in there, some people are really finicky when it comes to their photos/logo's.

    Lemme know what yall think!

I like the concept. But since you ask for a critique, I should warn you in advance I minored in art in college, which means we had to really critique each others work. So please keep that in mind when reading below. Again if you don't change anything it still looks good. :gj:

Here is my opinion on possible improvements.

I like the snake in the back ground. I would like to see more of it. It fades away too much. maybe an outline of the snake to make him pop out but still being in back ? Not sure.

The red it too bright (or saturated) . You see it first which might work if the "ball pythons" was in red. I think a muted shade of red would be better either way. Maybe do some light pin striping in red around the ball python, and keep the T. (to see what I mean squint at it. The T pops and the rest blends together)

I like the est. 2011 in the font and color, and location. :gj: However if you change the red on the other keep this in the same red color.

The font on the TM and ball pythons is a little flat. Try adding a gradient or shading in a lighter color than the background.

I hope that wasn't too much. Again it looks good as it is also. :gj:

I agree with everything mosh said. i didn't go to art school but i am an aritst.

i think the MT are too bright. maybe mute them down a bit. i know its the main focus of your logo but it is a bit much.

i do disagree with one thing and that is the est. part. to me, EST means eastern standard time. when i record my data at work, thats how we record our times. IMO i like circa and then date. not that many people use circa and i think it sounds better. i also think it should go below pythons in the bottom corner. not too far down, just under the pythons part. this will help accent the snake part more. i don't like the red. it draws my eyes to it rather than the snake. you are a snake breeder after all.

    i hope that helps.

Remember that it has to translate onto a t-shirt also....

Thanks guy for the constructive criticism! I honestly appreciate the ideas, but I really think I'm sticking to the way it stands. I suppose once I get enough time to tweak and peak it again, I will.

    Thanks again!

:gj: Now when I get my logo finally done (or started for that matter), you will have to critique it for me. But right now I am at a block. :/

I love seeing the logo under the post. I can't wait until I have one. :)
