snake mites?

the other day i looked in my tank and i seen just one small bug it was really small moving by his mouth. should i be worried i thought mites came in numbers. i usually have back door open and i have flourcsenct lights that attract bugs that can in the tank. any help

If you have a wide open house, I suggest using PAM to kill and prevent any mites that can infest the tank.

how can i tell if i have mites

Mites are easy to spot. just look for small black dots walking around on the snake and under the scales of the snake. that could be some other type of bug you are seeing and it may not be a bit deal HOWEVER if you have mites quarantine and as i said to the other post i just saw on the same topic...

i wouldnt just use pam. soak them in a tub of water with a few drops of soap as well everyday.
Newspaper and paper towels ftw as bedding, and clean the cage every 3days with windex. after that spray it down with the anti mite spray. then sprinkle tiny amounts of anti mite powder.

you must be super diligent in this and even if you think it is safe to stop treatment, keep doing it for another 2weeks at a minimum

Mites Love the face, and that is one of the easiest places to spot them. Just because you only saw one there doesn't mean there are not more. I think it is a safe assumption that you have them, and I would start treatment.
If you are still not willing to leap into treatment just yet, observe your snake... is it soaking more? Is it more irritable? Is it less active? These are signs that your snake is uncomfortable. Mites are like snake fleas... they are uncomfortable to have.
