humidity and heat issue

So I was dumb and got a zilla brand snake 20 long starter kit that has bulbs for heating. My humidity sucks even with the big soak bowl and misting.


I am wondering if I should get a fogger or if I should switch to the under heating element and buy super expensive temp/humidity gauge that you put in the substrate. Any options/suggestions and brands and models would be very helpful.

I just got this one from amazon. It seems to work well and was pretty inexpensive on $26

add a couple of fake plants because they help hold some water in...Also restrict but not stop the flow of air above the water source. I place a towel to cover 3/4 of the top (which I mist with water) that acts like a cloud slowly releasing moisture. Finally put your water source near your under tank heater. (which you should get)

So should I still used my 'night' light with the under tank heater with this method?

lights on at night can stress out your snake...they are nocturnal and don't enjoy light very much

I dont and my humidity is at 55%. When it comes to the time to shed I add an extra water bowl for even more moisture...Ill try to get a picture up to show you

Foggers are nice I use one on my ball and one on my boa. Problem solved along with 2 zoomed hygrotherms.

I say ditch the lights all together, if your house is unnaturally cold you can get a CHE bulb instead of the light bulb and use that on a lamp dimmer ($10 from Home Depot). Get a UTH and that hydrofarm thermostat. And get this
