Critique my breeding plan!

So a friend and I are going to be getting into breeding bp's in a year or two (once we have everything all set) and are wondering if this is a good start:

I have a pastel male right now, she has a normal female. She's going to pick up a female cinnamon sometime this year so we can make pewters (pastel x cinnamon, I believe?) and I'm aiming for a spider and a butter because I think I could make some nice combos with my pastel in the mix. What gender do you think these two should be? Female spider, male butter? Or both female? I would like another male in the group (as the pastel is my only one) but I'm not quite sure.

This whole thing is new for me and this is just in the planning stages right now, plenty of time to think about what to do.

Multigene codom males and as many codom females as you can afford. One male can obviously breed multiple females so you should try to keep a 1:4 or 1:5 ratio. Nothing wrong with having a backup male but you should really try to get multigene animals. This will put you a few years ahead if you hit 3 gene animals when you start breeding. Good luck!

a spider would be cool. you could make some bumble bees but pewters are really nice too. Its all up to which you prefer.
