Just noticed this on my BP. Is this normal or is there something wrong?
So first. I noticed by the end of the tail that these were sticking out on both sides. Almost looked as if it was coming through the skin.

Second. I notice that on the skin in random spots there are these spots.

Third and last is this normal? Most of them look like this some have been half green as well.

    Hehe.

    1) Those are called spurs. They are the remains of the legs that they used to have waaaay back, but evolution has caused snaked to lose their legs.

    2) I'm not sure, but it just looks to me like it's just a discolouration of a scale.

    3) That is urate. It is one of the 3 waste items that snakes discard. Urine, Urates (accompanied by urine) and Feces.

    :)

It looks like where the scale came off with a shed. Also, sometimes the scales may come off if a tick or mites were under them. Also, sometimes the scales may come off if petroleum based products such as mineral oil, "snake oil", Neosporin, or Bacitracin have been used, but usually the scales will come off in small patches when these products have been used. They will usually grow back with time...

Yeah, sometimes they rub their scales off during shedding. They should come back in a shed or two. You need to watch the top of the head for that, though, because they'll often repeatedly scrape there.

A lot of times the urates are green. Don't know why! But it's normal.

youre snake is either a female or it had to pooh lol but i want to know if someone can answer this question is it true that you can sometimes tell the sex by the width of a vent or the size of the spurs?

I believe that applies to some species of snakes, but not Ball Pythons.

In halmahera boas only the males have spurs . Makes sexing them so much easier.
