Use what works best for you. I have all of mine on paper. :)

If you have her in quarantine it might be better to use news paper or paper towels. It's easier to notice things on paper towels than it is on substrate.

Sorry, in your original post it sounded like you've only had her 4 days. As rabernet said, it's personal preference. If eco earth is working with your other BP then I think you should stick with what works. :)

thanks for both of your opinions:)the only reason why i said i was letting her settle in is because wen i first got her i spent 2 day removing bad shed and now iv just been leting her be.i ment that since then iv been letting her settle. but since day one she has been on news paper though

I would use paper towels for the quarantine period. Much much easier to clean and see things like mites if they should show up later down the road. You can use tinfoil or wax paper to cover the screen lid (tape the edges down) to help hold in humidity and you might have to mist every few days during this period to help with that too.

Once you move her out of quarantine, use whatever you like best. If the eco-earth works for you, use that. I personally found it to be too "dirty" for my ball and I use cypress mulch instead. That holds humidity just as well as the eco-earth and better than the aspen, but its cleaner and easier for me to keep clean. Just a thought and it's mostly just a matter of preference. But I would definitely use the paper towels for the quarantine. :gj:
