Sometimes they can be a little weird. I haven't figured out yet if I've just been extremely lucky or if I'm doing something right because I haven't had a problem switching from live to f/t. My large normal went from live mice right to f/t rats. She didn't even pause to consider that there might be a difference. :P
Two things that I've tried that have worked for me so far with f/t is 1.) when I am preparing them I let them thaw to room temp then I stick them in super hot water for a few minutes, this gets them really warm and 2.) if I have one that is considering taking it but not completely sure I'll leave it in their hide over night. Both these tricks have worked out well for me so far.
RichsBallPythons gave me some pretty good advice in a different thread I started (Baby ball python feeding question), you can try offering pre-killed before you try to get them on f/t too.
