    Reptile Expo Question
I want to buy some new bp morph, but don't want to pay an extra $40 for shipping. I'm thinking about going to a reptile show, but it's not a big one like ReptiCon, or the big California reptile shows...do you get better deals there than online? Is there a good variety? Thanks

Check the vendor list, you can usually check out their sites. If you see something you like, purchase and pick up at the show :). You can haggle prices at shows.

So far I've only been to one reptile expo and it was really small and dominated by BPs and Geckos. It was cool to go to. I know some people will haggle at shows, I didn't at this one. I paid what they were asking, but I probably will at the next one I go to since I plan on buying a BEL. I've heard that prices drop a lot towards the end of the show too.

Look at the vendors link, it will give you a decent idea of who will be there and what they will be selling.

ive been to the taylor show every month for the last few yrs.
there are a couple of people that you want to avoid like the guy thats in the south east corner across from hooks feeders and also watch out for great lakes reptiles he shows up now and then, but over all youll find a desent selection (it varies month to month) and you can find pretty good deals most people are willing to haggle a bit.

just as with anywhere there will be someone that pops in and is someone that you dont want to deal with so just ask questions and check out your animal 1st.

The show I have been going to lately, the vendors have been jacking up their prices, so it would basically be the same price as if you had the snake shipped. they also didn't take to kindly to haggling I heard more than one say they werent gonna budge on price.

There was on guy who wanted 200 for a pastel male of average quality (quite browned out dorsally). I don't know what he was thinking.

You can find pretty decent variety in shows - depending on the ones you go to. Some of the prices are cheaper, plus you don't have to worry about the stress of shipping/temperatures, and you can talk to the dealer directly and see the animal in person before you buy it.

Plus prices do seem to drop a bit near the end of the show. :)
