    Is this early stages of scale rot
    Ok I wish I had pictures but don't have camera at moment but anyways I picked up my snake and notice a light brown spot on the neck area is this signs of scale rot please help I'm worried.

    Cannot say without pics. But in the meantime use paper as a substrate, and clean any soilings immediately.
    I have an albino that had some brown scales appear on his neck, but after his shed they were gone.

    Keep the enclosure clean, and lets hope it's not scale rot. please try to post pics.

    Watch it, if it gets worse at all, go to the vet. Maybe a general vet check would be worth the time and $$. Better to be safe and catch something early, also if you have other reptiles it would also be good to quarantine this one.

    Also, husbandry info would help-
    Temps, humidity, well ventilated,ect....

    substrate: type, how old, is it damp
