Eggs in 'bator very dimpled

Hey all. Lelu finally laid for me not too long ago (see sig for thread). When I had to take them in put them in the incubator, they felt very soft, and dimpled while handeling, even with as careful as I was being. They have been in the incubator for about 2 weeks now, with the temp being a stable 90* and the humidity being max'd out around 99. I know low humidity is one reason for dimpling...and also some calcification issues.

The humidity dropped one day to 81 out of nowhere, so i added water, and a cup with some water in it, then press-n-sealed it (couple days ago). The cup will be gone waaaay before they should hatch, if they are healthy that is.

Anyone know what the deal is? Will they still be okay? Is there anything I should do? Thanks so much in advance.

"if" the humidity was close to 100% there would be condensation on the sides of the tub and probably lots of it.
I use lots of water, some substrate and a piece of light diffuser panel for the eggs to sit on.
My tubs are vented and not sealed and with 90% humidity(which is perfect to me) I have some condensation on the sides of the tubs but not too much.
I don't see any condensation built up on the sides of that tub, did it have before taking the pics?
They look like they're dimpled from low humidity to me.

What day are they one? Have you candled them?
You could get a light diffuser then add more water to the medium.

If that's only two weeks in, you need to bump the humidity stat...

Also, I'd recommend looking into either Hatchrite or substrateless next time...they both make it much simpler to get the humidity right...

Thanks for the reply. There was a good amount of condensation on the press and seal, which I wiped away prior to the picture. Heard that was bad.

I would have had it setup with hatchrite and an egg grate, but it was a surprise that she laid.

They were dented from being soft and picking them up and setting them in the egg box. They are more dimpled now, just want to make it clear that they were soft and dented before they even went in there. The accurite that I have in there reads 99% humidity. So what you guys are saying is I should ignore the reading and dump some more water in?

And finally: I have not candled them yet. I need to go buy a flashlight for that..almost all of the roads here are closed right now...huge storm went through, and there are fallen trees all over the road. It's unreal.

Only add more water, after they placed on top of a light diffuser.
If you sqeeze some of the medium, does it stay clumped together, or is it dry?

I was getting ready to type out a whole slew of stuff but then I thought hey, just text me and we'll hook up Thursday or Friday. I'll give you an egg box all set up already with light grate and everything so you can save those eggs. How's that sound.

And to answer you second question. The dents you put in them by moving them may come out if the humidity is high enough but you can have one of my extra boxes for peace of mind anyway.
