    Plans for Next Season
I have hatched one clutch, have one in the incubator now, and one about to drop soon. Already I'm thinking about my plans for next season. I'm giving my pinstripe the season off since she was a small female to begin with. If I can get the snakes up to size I plan on breeding for only 3 clutches this season. Two ball python clutches and one corn snake clutch.

The ball python clutches depend on if a male and female can put on the weight for the season. I want to breed Tak, my dinker male to a normal female. The female is 2000g but I just weighed him at a little over 200g. He might have the size on him by Spring but we'll see. The other pairing I want to do is a 100% het axanthic to a 100% het axanthic. The male is around 550g and growing and the female is 945g and growing. She will also be one I'll have to wait for spring on.

Now I was going to pull out my normal female that laid in April and see how she's doing with putting on weight. She had dropped down to 1350g after laying. If she can put on the weight for this season I might breed her again but I don't know what to breed her to. I have the following males....

    Pastel
    Spider
    100% Het Axanthic Normal
    100% Het Pied Normal

I was thinking of putting my het pied with her to make 50% possible het pieds and then breed the females back to the father in 2-3 years. I don't want to make more spiders next season as I already hatched out my spider female I wanted. Making pastels doesn't really seem worth it, especially if I get a female pastel from this pinstripe x (Pastel) (Spider).

    Hmm...decisions decisions.
