thinking about decor options
seeing everyones really cool set ups (w/ the branches & plants) kinda makes me wanna decorate my girl's terrarium.
what it looks like now...

i was thinking about this stuff...
to line the inside walls (sides & back)
it says to use aquarium silicone to stick it to the surface & then let it cure for 24 hours before putting animals in with it but i dont have a temporary place to use for my girl for that 24 hrs so i thought little pieces of velcro would work...this would be a less permanent option so that it would become removeable should i ever need to clean the glass.

some of these
to attach to the above bark tiles. was thinking of leaving some over/on/around the hide boxes to kind of hide them a little, leaving her doors open for her of course.

&

& then this sitting between her water dishes, kinda like a centerpiece of sorts.

i really wanted this as the centerpiece
but with the current hide boxes & water dishes there just isnt enough space for it. so i'm thinking i could use it when i upgrade to an adult cage which will be a 36" stackable npi cage. using more of the background tiles in it as well.

& the same with the background tiles i was thinking i could use small pieces of velcro to attach the decorations (plants & ornaments). this would make them unable to be toppled but removable for cleaning.
i didnt wanna use any glue or tape.
it'll be some time before i can do anything with this but i'm just brainstorming options so i would definitely appreciate input/opinions & ideas.

Ok now they're showing up - pretty! I like it
Re: thinking about decor options
the castle ornament, i failed to mention, has empty cavities inside that i planned on filling in completely with dry foam (the kind put into containers with silk floral arrangements) so that my snake could not get herself stuck in it trying to use it as a hide or explore it.
as for the points on the castle, i really dont see any but if i discover any upon purchasing it i will definitely try to dull them down somehow.
i planned on "anchoring" the ornaments to the bottom of the terrarium with industrial strength velcro. the orchid will bend over if the snake tries to crawl on it but thats ok right? the base will be anchored. i'm currently using it now to mount the accurite to the back glass as seen in my 1st pic and my snake has cruised over the top of it with her entire body & it held up. matter of fact i have to pull quite hard to detach the accurite from its station on the glass, that's how strong the velcro is. it's very hard to separate & i wanted it that way.
the other plants (pics shown) will be more of a challenge cuz i'll have to attach them to the cork tiles, or at least i wanted to, but i dont wanna use any kind of glue or tape. i was again thinking of the velcro but am unsure of how well they would stick to the obviously uneven surface of the cork tiles. maybe i can sand the spots down a little where i wanted to stick the velcro coins.
i've got time to figure this all out & like running the ideas through here to see what ya'll think.

Why not pick up some plants from the craft store? You can put them on either side of the cage, and if you get big ones they take up a lot of tall space, so you wouldn't even need to worry about attaching them to the cork bark. You can also try to drill a small hole into the cork bark, that way you might be able to hang the plants you picked out.
