has anyone left a F/T pinkie rat in the snakes enclosure overnight?

and can ball pythons eat that way? or must they be presented FT rats by forceps?

It's perfectly safe, although I've never had any luck just leaving the prey in the enclosure. They will be much more willing to take a f/t rat that is doing the zombie dance instead of just tossed into the tub...:)

Yes, I've left F/T overnight with a shy feeder. I have one BP girl that "likes to think about it" before eating. She'll usually eat after she thinks it over for an hour or so.

When I first got my BP he wouldn't eat when I presented it and would leave it in there. By the time I got up the next day it was usually gone. Of course I did the zombi dance for a little bit too. That is also how I realized he was ready for bigger food. I fed one and then left the second one in overnight and he ate it too. Now he eats right away ad I don't have to leave it.

I have left f/t in overnight. They still wouldn't eat them. Now they are eating live. Two picky boys :)

Yes, I have two snakes that I leave in overnight and by morning it's usually gone.
