Rack/Tub Setup Questions

Had my BP's for 2 years in tanks and just broke down ((humidity and temp problems in winter) and got a RBI Sweaterbox rack. Haven't set it up yet, but I have questions.
I got the belly heat setup. Where should I put the hide? I had 2 (hot and cold) in my tanks, but no room for 2 with a water bowl. Also can I use electrical tape to tape the probe to the heat tape. One last question, should I see how the temp/humidity is w/out putting holes in the tubs first?

I set my hides in RBI rack on hot side.. (I have 2 adults and use Big RBI hides)
I noticed sometimes when especially my YB wanna cool off he just leaving his hide and squeeze himself on top of it..
With right set thermostat when You gonna have 86-88 on hot side and around 79-81 cool that's really all you need.
