    PNW substrate of choice?
I live in Washington state and have been using newspaper as bedding. I did use aspen when I first got into reptiles but didn't like how it would mold fast keeping humidity at level needed. I was looking into going with cypress mulch but I can't find it anywhere it's all cedar. I've been looking into cocounut husk but not sure how that will work in a rack system? There any suggestions on what to go with as alternative, on the west coast?

SerpenTurf is a company that ships cypress anywhere in the continental US. I recommend checking them out.

It would be cheaper for me to buy bedding at Petsmart 10 qts for $9. I was trying to get something cheaper then what I would spend at a pet store.
