3'x3'x6' iguana enclosure
This is a pretty easy iguana enclosure I built for our Iguana, it came out... somewhat better than expected for the materials used, and cost.
The inside dimensions are near 6'x3'x3' and that box is on 22" legs which put the enclosure at 62" tall.
Plexiglass front, astroturf on the walls, some type of linoleum fake wood flooring on the inside of the doors and on the floor. (super easy clean up when she decides not to use the water tub)
The doors are half doors, only one side opens because with the frame material used (2x2"s) the box wasnt quite sturdy enough with out the half door to support the whole frame. Securing on one half of the side made the thing rock solid.
There are two locking mechanisms on each side (one door on each end) uhhh... Not much else. there is about a foot wide gap across the top that has chicken wire across it to let in air and for the lights. (worked out by saving money and using left over scraps from the bottom and side wood boards) because they came from 4x8 sheets of I believe 1/2" OSB.
The water tub now has a UTH under it to keep the water warm and thats about it. Blue thing is just some PVC with rope wrapped around as a ramp, and it might help to mention that there is now a bamboo trellis on the back wall that it can climb on, that isnt shown in the pictures.
Not the best pictures because its hard to even get a full view in the room its in. One more problem we had..... if you do something like this... make sure you have a way to get it INSIDE once your done hahaha. :please:
Otherwise you end up having to take most of it apart like myself and then re building it once inside...
But I'm sure she enjoys this MUCH more than the 55g aquarium she was stuck in before...
PS: Plexiglass is a P I T A.
The only "during" build picture I have, with the covering still on the plexiglass.
