Mites are a pain in the butt, sorry to hear your boa has them.
Buy a can of Provent-A-Mite and follow the instructions on the label. I battled our mite infestation for six months with various products, to no avail. Then I bought a can of PAM and they were gone within the week. I swear, it saved my sanity. (Just remember that mite sprays are poison, and it is imperative that you follow to directions precisely to keep your snakes safe.)
Also, soaks help kill off mites short-term, and I think it soothes an infested snake to have at least a number of them drop off.

    Sawyers:
    http://www.rei.com/product/768970/sa...mp-spray-24-oz

    24 oz for $16.00.

Both Sawyers and PAM are manufactured by Coulston.

    http://www.pesticideinfo.org/Detail_...DIST_NR=050404

Notice on the bottom of the page that PAM is a distributor product and Coulston is the parent product.

Notice the U.S. EPA Registration number for PAM - 50404-7. The same EPA registration number is used for Coulston pressurized insecticide no. 5 (slightly different than the product I linked to - more on that in a sec). Difference is PAM runs about $3.00 + an ounce (depending on where you buy it) and you can pick Sawyers up at your local REI for $1.00/ounce.

The 24 oz formulation is a manual pump and works just as well. How do I know? I use it.

I spoke to Coulston and they said they only difference between the aerosol and the hand pump is the propellant. So I buy my Coulston insecticide for less than a dollar per ounce.

    Cheers.

    Remove snake from cage.

Remove existing substrate from cage. Remove all decorations and the water bowl.

    Lightly coat enclosure with insecticide.

    Put in substrate.

    Lightly spray substrate with Sawyers.

Let dry. Do not put animal back in until the dampness from the spray is gone. While drying, sanitize all decorations.

    Put animal back in.

Sawyers claims a 6 week effectiveness date on their product.
