    Need some IDs
I saved these two from the murderous ways of my mother. I know the one is some form of garter....the other I have no idea. Was wondering if I could get some help iding my new snakes.

The garter (sorry for bad pics)

Unknown is an anery corn snake. Can't help with the garter, don't know anything about them. Good job keeping them safe and good luck!!

That 2nd one is definitely not an anery corn snake. It's an Eastern milk snake. The first one does appear to be a garter, but without clearer pics I can't really tell what type.

Better Pictures and Place where You live will be helpful... Light on pictures of second snake is so bad and colors are soo confusing... With black border on Blotches looks more like eastern milksnake.. but with that light and this colors Greater Plains Rat Snake comes to mind as well because Eastern milksnake blotches are more reddish... so for sure better pictures preferably in natural light and sharper will be more helpful :gj::gj::gj:

I also thought great plains ratsnake but since I live in NY I kinda ruled that out. I know for sure its a garter I'm just not sure What kind. It looks almost.like my checkered but with less defined checkered pattern. It has the dorsal stripe And everything. I will try to get more pics

Eastern milk snake for sure. I had one of them, found it in my garage when I lived in Chittenango, NY.
