R.I.P. -- Diesel, Pandinus imperator (Pics)
Came back from visiting some family members today so I decided to do some quick invert maintenance. I stepped into the reptile room and it smelled pretty gross, and I even said out loud, "Someone either took a nasty dump or someone died." I looked through everyone's enclosures to see if they all were well. I noticed my Emp in the same position as I left, although when I left on Sunday I did some maintenance and he was moving but still lying in the same position. When I got back I noticed he looked more limp.

I got to doing his maintenance last but when I was misting I noticed he didn't move. So that's pretty much the story, I'm gonna miss him. He was my first scorpion and I really did enjoy having him. Never stung or pinched anyone; he was pretty good at handling but did have a moody side lol.

Here's all the photos I've taken of him. I assume he died from old age; I acquired him as an adult at the Phoenix show last November.

Some different styles of his cage that I did (if it gives any ideas for any Emp keepers)

Most definitely. Even if they are just a little animal they still are apart of the fam.

It does suck for sure, he was pretty cool. Thank you for the kind words Andrew:). I cut off the claws and tail, I'm going to hot glue em to a nice frame and put his name in there so I can hang it up in the reptile room for memories. Thought it would be a nice idea so he's still somewhat apart of my collection.

Thank you very much for the sweet words:). He definitely did help get rid of any remaining fears a couple friends/family had.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my emp of old age last month. Got him as an adult at a show. I'm going to have to get another. Although I think I'll be going with a youngster. Mine was with me for 3 years though.
