    Age of our unexpected pet?
Yesterday, I attempted to feed my Ball Python a rat, and a mouse, he took the mouse, absolutely no problem. Struck at it within seconds... The rat scared him by jumping and landing on him accidently...

    So everyone, meet Gnomey

Little Gnomey is about 4inches, nose to base of his tail.

My younger brother saw him, and well.. We fell in love with him :D so our parents agreed that we could keep him.

I figure he's kinda young, since he's smaller than what the rats we had when I was little were.

He's adorable, and last night, when the little guy was falling asleep on me, I discovered how cute rat yawns were :D

Anyways, any guesses to his age? And I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread... I figured it was the best place to start though.

Ok- I mismeasured, he's between 4-5inches head to base of tail.

I'd guess he's less than 3 months old. I have a group of 8 week olds that are 3-6 inches (nose to base of tail) depending on how and what he was fed reflects growth.

My guess is he was fed basic rat food that the store I got him from sells.

Don't know how well they bond to multiple people, but if they don't my brother will have issues with him. He's out of town for the next month, and I'm taking care of him until then. He's already coming out of his cage when I make kissy noises :D
