    New addition ideas?!
So my girlfriend is awesome and bought me a huge 40 gallon breeder tank from the dollar a gallon sale at petco, I almost broke my toe with it moving it off my bed at 6am when I got off work haha

Anyways!! I was going to move my bp into and get a new family member for her 15g tank. so I stuck the appropriate sized uth on it and then when I saw it sitting there, being huge in my room I started to think my little bp would be alright in his 15 gallon tank for a while longer and that something else
Would be cool in the 40 =P

I really want this aqua iguana I saw the other day! It's about 12 inches right now but I'm wondering how long it will fit in the 40 for. Also I was thinking savanna monitor but again... How long till i have to dedicate a room to that huge lizard lol

I would get a red tail or something but my girlfriend and my mom would team up and kill me so the possibilities are limited to lizards...

    Any ideas guys??

Well I've pretty much got my heart set on a savannah monitor now lol they have the cute little baby ones at the reptile shop and it was epic watching one chase down a cricket.

Ive done my research but what I can't seem to find is how quickly they grow.... How much time do you think I have to build a giant cage before the little guy out grows the 40 gallon?

Savannah Monitors grow extremely fast within the first year or so.
They go from being under a foot long to being around 3 or 4 feet within the first year or two [depending if you have a female (smaller) or a male (larger) and if they are kept in proper conditions]. Unfortunately, that 40 gallon would not last you long at all.
