    Varanus indicus - Mangrove Monitor.
Ended up getting this guy a few weeks back. He was kept in a very small 2v1 cage in a pet store, with next to no humidity and kept very cold so he could be "handled". Got him at an extremely good price. The below photos are of a night allowing him to explore the bedroom/reptile room while I was working on his temp enclosure.

He's around 3 foot long and has an amazing temperament for an indicus complex monitor. He is not shy at all, and readily accepts food from tongs.

He's all moved into his new enclosure and looking even better now that he is on dirt with high humidity!

Great looking monitor! Watch that air vent! A freind of mine owned a furnace cleaning company and found a 3 foot dried out Green Iguana in a furnace duct. Yours just looked too interested in it :)

It's bolted down, and he doesn't live in said room anymore, I lost so many things down those as a kid I certainly never wanted to risk an animal going into one. LOL!

Very nice indicus! I hope the "newbies" around here don't get the idea to keep monitors in small, cold enclosures to "tame" them, lol!

Best of luck with that beauty :gj:

The funny part, he was taken out by one of the other people looking at purchasing him, and he warmed up and proceeded to grab and bite him several times before the guy put him back and promptly left the store.

In my book, let them think its tame. Let them get it home and warmed up so it can bite them. That way, they can promptly decide it's too much and rehome it before any real damage is done to the monitor!

    Thanks Chris!
