    Western Hognose legal in CA?
    Simple question, are Western Hognose legal to buy/ have within the state of California?

    Yep, you can! I have a Western Hognose, and while she wasn't sold here in CA (she was shipped from MI), I have seen them in local pet shops... awesome little snakes, they are. :)

    As far as what's legal and illegal in California:

    (7) Class Reptilia -Reptiles

    (F) Family Colubridae -Colubrids:
    1. Dispholidus typus (Boomslang) (D).
    2. Theoltornis kitlandii (Bird or vine snake) (D).
    3. All species of genus Nerodia (watersnakes) (D).

    (G) Family Helodermatidae:
    1. Heloderma suspectum suspectum (reticulate Gila monster) (D).

    They aren't endangered in CA so yes! What kind are you going to get (morph/normal)? they are so cute!
