Looking for POG vs Pastel comparison pics of HATCHLINGS....
I was wondering if anyone who may have hatched any POGs this season (or whenever) can post a photo comparing it to a Pastel. The key is, I am looking for animals who just had their first sheds... both animals...side-by-side...same picture.

Rep. for the first comparison pic. :)

    GO!

Here is a POG(top) and pastel(bottom) right out of the egg, don't have side to side.

May or may not help but I figured I'd post anyways, just in case someone also wanted pics after they have had a few sheds and grew a bit:

Check out the two BPs in my iHerp page in the siggy for pics of a pastel het OG and a POG, at a few months old.

    Thanks all!

I asked because I just had a clutch of 4 hatch from a Pastel het Hypo X Hypo pairing. However, I was pretty sure I missed the bus on hitting a POG. However, there were a couple I was not sure on...probably more-so wishful thinking. The two in question are the bottom 2 out of the 4 in the photos. The reason I questioned them is that their heads had slightly more blushing on them. So I wanted to see if perhaps the difference between POGs and Pastels could sometimes be subtle. But after seeing the photos (thanks!) there is a distinct difference between the two. Oh well...at least I went 4 for 4 on Pastel het OG this year.

And going off on a tangent...got my first set of twins last night from another clutch. :)

Yup I agree, 4 for 4 on pastel het hypos. I hope you're heavy on the females though ;)

Give us a year or two and I can share results from a POG to pastel het hypo. THAT'll get confusing, I don't know how easily I will be able to distinguish super pastel het hypos from POGs. That really is my biggest worry, I'd hate to think a snake is one thing, sell it, and have it turn out differently.

That was my issue. I didn't want to sell someone a Pastel when it turned out to be a low-quality POG, although I am sure the buyer wouldn't mind. But more-so, I didn't want to sell someone a low-quality (imo) POG...and it just turns out to be a High-blushing Pastel.

Good luck with the POG vs SPOG! :salute:

If you have any doubts, just wait for it's next shed. All Hypos shed clear (although all babies shed clear the first time as well...)

    So... hold'm back, watch'm grow, watch'm shed. :)
