    Is this allowed?
Are you allowed to bring reptiles in to an expo?I would like to ask someone who works with leopard geckos to tell me what gender mine is.
I'll be going to the DFW lone star reptile expo in July.

I have never heard of a show where you can bring pets, unless you are a vendor. It helps prevent the spread of disease to other animals.

It varies a lot. Different expos will have different rules. You may have to contact the persons running the expo to find out...unless someone here is familiar with the rules of that specific one. :)

Every single one of the expos I have been to (and that's a LOT!) have never allowed pets form home under any circumstances into the building.

Like JLC said, you can contact someone who is in charge of the show, but doubt, doubt, doubt you'd be able to!

I've been to expos in eight different states...most of which have had several differently owned/ran expos within the same state. I've seen some where outside pets were allowed in. I'm not a fan of the practice at all...but some do allow it. I think it IS safe to say that MOST do not, however.

I have been to that expo many times and there is a big sign that says no one but the vendors can bring in animals. Leopard geckos are really easy to sex though, the males have prominent femoral pores and hemipenes bulges. If you google you should be able to find pictures.

I think it varies depending on the people hosting the expo. I just went to one last week where a guy was walking his BIG dog around.

From the pictures I think mine's a female, but just in case I'll only buy females(they will be sharing a tank).
