    need opinions
After years of thought I have decided to adopt a child from the Ohio Child Service. So because my beloved Edgar is considered a constrictor snake the state agents are saying that I have to get rid of him. So dilemma....

How and where should I advertise my ball python. I want to make sure that he goes to a good home and really don't want money for him.

    Any ideas

Sorry I just got excited...I know you live in Ohio so unless you were willing to ship (which it's kind of hot) it'd be tough since I'm guessing you've never shipped before. I'd start by posting on here

I'd stray away from craigslist...since you never know who your selling to on there :( Good luck! I'm sure you'll find him a great home. You sure he's a he?

put an ad up on here, a lot of people live near you and im sure someone will grab him quick, especially if its free. or you could try to find someone at an expo near you and ask them. or if you have any quality reptile stores you can give it to them. id take it but im too far.

congrats on the decision and good luck. i hope everything works out for you

Well that must be annoying, I'm sure your child would love the snake honestly. State agents are such annoying people sometimes. So after adoption do you get to introduce the kid to snakes how long do they have control over what you do? But anyhows, good luck with your adoption and with selling Edgar hope he gets a nice home.

Law makers really crack me up sometimes. Do they really think a ball python is more dangerous than a dog or a cat?

Yes, a ball python can definitely scratch you with its scales. A dog on the other hand will not bite you when you put your neck and food into his jaws.
