    Bumble bee breeding possibilities
So, my financial situation has recently improved, and I am planning on picking up a bumble bee male at the next reptile show in St. Louis in August. I was wondering, what other morph could I eventually breed it with to make something really cool? If I breed it to a pied, I wouldn't get pied bees possibly would I? Sorry, kinda confused about how alot of these recessives work. Thanks.

Bumble bee X pied would give you normal, pastel, spider, and bumble bee all 100% het pied. You would then need to breed your bee het pied to another pied to have a chance to make bumble bee pieds, but in the clutch you would also again have normals, pastels, spiders and bees 100% het pied. A bumble bee male is a good place to start and there are endless possibilites for him, you could get a single gene co-dom female or two, pastel, pinstripe, spider, cinnamon, lesser or you could get a double gene female, lemon blast, spinner, pastel lesser, ... and make som REALLY cool combos. It all comes down to what you like and what you can afford.

Bumblebee x lemon blast, cinny, pastel, pin pretty much anything you want will make some cool babies. Currently getting my killerbee and pastavebee up to weight to hit to my lemon blast male. When it comes down to it, it really depends on what you want to create. But even hatching out normals is a great feeling. Theres nothing like cutting eggs on day 55 and seeing a little baby inside. Anything recessive will take you a few more years to get what your looking for since sometimes the odds just arnt with you. But good luck on which ever route you choose as a bumblebee is a great start.

Bee x Kingpin would possibly give you normals, pastels, lessers, spiders, pins, bees, lemonblasts, pastel lessers, spinners, lesserbees, kingpins, spinner blasts, kingspins, queen bees, pastel kingpins and queenspins. Whats cool is the odds for all of these morphs is the same.

Now that Ive looked at it, I might have to try for that cross.

You should pickup a female or two since they are going to take longer to get to size and maturity. You can have a male breeding in a year if he's eating. Even a porker female is going to take 18 months at the earliest to be of size. I'd highly suggest picking up a codom female or two codom that you plan to breed to a male bee. Pick the male up next year so they are all about ready at the same time.

    Regards,

One of my favorite thingss to do with a bumble is, bumble to pastel you have some normal, pastel bumble bee and even 12.5% chance of a killer bee but the option is all yours explore around see your option's or my number one favorite for a bumble bee is a , bumble x lesser you have a possiblity for a Queen Bee idk how much they sell for exactly but somewhere around the thousands good luck with your future breeding project

Thank you so much for the advice folks!

I also currently have a Woma BP male, and wondering what I could do with it. Like if I crossed it with a female bee would it just enhance the bee or what?

If you want to make great combos on a budget...I love the Pastel and Fire genes! You could make great things mixing a Woma and Bee to these morphs! Just my .02.
