    switching sides
My bp, Hades, has recently taken to his cool side hide. I'm just questioning why where as he has always used his warm side hide. Nothing has changed as far as temps or humidity. He just "moved" as of a couple of days ago. I just wanted to make sure his moving isn't a sign of something wrong. I repeat nothing has changed. Warm side 91, cool side 79-81, humidity 55-60%.

I wouldnt worry to much, they will thermoregulate as they fell necessary. It seems your offering a nice warm and cool spot for your snake. If your hides are the same, to stop the snake choosing a more secure hide over the other then i would let your snakie cool off for a bit.

Also i fell it depends on the snake to, i have two snakes and the have the exact same set up,in the same room. One sticks to his warm spot approx 80 % of the time. The other is always switching between both.

As long as there feeding well and doing all things natural (poop and pee) i wouldnt worry.

if you notice any signs of stress or the snake goes of feed, you might want to double check things.

Maybe some one else could chip in if ive forgotton anything.

That's what I thought, but I figured it never hurts to get input. Like I said he's always stayed in his warm side hide other than coming out to feed or patrol so I just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Mine switch sides all the time.... For a few weeks they will be in the warm hide. Then for no reason at all they will switch to the cool side for a few days. I just think that bp's are crazy....:D
