New leopard question

I got my leopard gecko 4 days ago and he went grey 2 days ago, and cleared up yesterday.

He hasn't ate yet sense I got him and I'm kind if worried... Should I offer a different food item? Or just wait till he sheds and go from there?

For right now, wait 'til he sheds. He's still settling in too. Just make sure his tank is right and that he has a humid hide for his shed...give him a bit of time to adjust.

Ugh, the stupid frowny face is not supposed to be there. ooops.

Sounds to Mr like he/she shed already and prolly didn't eat cause leos rat there shed

Thanks!! have him in a low 15 gallon tank with a uth on a thermostat, one of those zoo med moist hides on the warm side, a coconut dry hide on the cool side, food and water dishes, and a uv light during the day. today I added a moonlight bulb in a dome because its completely pitch black in my room at night sense I work over night and sleep during the day and I thought maybe his night vision isn't good enough to see in that much darkness lol

If it were me I'd ditch the UV light, they really don't need it and I've read where it has messed up skin and eyes. As long as they get a good diet and vitamins/calcium/D3 (not too much) they should be fine.
A good regular light schedule is important too...however you do it. Daylight and night. Daylight can be ambient room light.

Well it isn't exactly a uv light lol it's just an under the counter florescent I found at the hardware store haha I have my bp and my Leo next to each other with the sides of the cages covered so the bp doesn't five him the I'm going to eat you look all night. They share the light for the day/night cycle.

Do you think the gecko can smell the bp and is freaked out?

Just checked the food, teres a mealworm and a couple crickets missing!!! Yay!!

Yep, I'd ditch the bright light as well. Your bp and your leo do not need it in the slightest. I provide a day/night cycle only with ambient room light. Whatever light comes through the windows to brighten the room is what I use. My leo is growing well with this.

And as mentioned, your leo probably shed and you didn't see it. I've had my leo for a couple of years now and I've never seen her shed. She gobbles it up fast. :D

I use the light because I have my room completely dark all the time. I work overnight and go to sleep at like 6am so there is foil taped on all my windows haha it's like I'm trying to keep the aliens from reading my thoughts or something hahaha
