So I bought this male julius like a year ago for 50$ I was told he was a pastel but I've seen tons of pastels in real life and on the internet and he looks nothing like them so whats everyone think?

Looks like a regular pastel to me.
There's a huge amount of variability within pastels -- it used to be that they were differentiated based on bloodline (Graziani, lemon, Ruppel/stonewash, etc.), and the different bloodlines looked very different, particularly those that were selectively bred for one particular appearance. (Grazianis were more reduced-pattern, lemons were more busy patterned and supposed to be very bright, etc.) I haven't seen much differentiating lately, though, and there are so many combos it's easy to think one has something "extra," but there are still a lot of different looks that pastel can take.

Thank you. I picked her up from a friend that was moving last year for $100. When I saw her my jaw hit the floor. Couldn't shell out the benjamin fast enough! lol

Yep, that's a nice adult pastel.
Here is a comparison pic of my pastel boy.
