its getting hot here!!

i noticed a couple times my bps cool side reached 85 degrees. i immediately misted the sides and substrate.what the heck do i do to keep it under that temp without consistantly misting?

where do you keep your bp at??? tubs or tanks??? misting will cause humidity but which also causes temp rise.

The snake will be fine at those temps.
If it gets too hot then a/c is a good thing :P

I think as long as there is a temperature variance in the tank, 85ish degrees wouldn't be that big a deal. I'm sure it'd get WAY hotter in their natural environment, so they're fine.

[EDIT] Also, living in texas, my BP will probably have much worse than 85 this coming summer.

Turning the a/c on generally solves this issue. ;)

shes in a tank on a table in the corner of my room away from the windows.it only happened a couple of times that ive noticed. i live in a big house and we keep our ac off from noon til 8pm due to some stupid agreement with srp.my room reaches 85 at the highest ive seen so far and summer has barely begun.

her hot side stays in between 88 and 90.8 set on a thermostat.
most days her cool side sits between 75 and 81 degrees.
that 85 scared the crap out of me.i kinda figured she would take a dip in her waterbowl if it got too hot.

i do believe the biggest factor here was my emp enclosure that uses a heat lamp.they are right under the table my bp is on.i moved the emps last night and today without misting the cool side sat at 79.hopefully that solves that.but for future reference if it gets too hot in my room what could i possibly do to cool the cool side down? i know it gets hotter in the wild sometimes but in the wild they also have the option of seeking out cooler spots,like stealing a burrow.id like to keep my heat gradient.
