Breathing hard

So I have had my girl for about three weeks to a month, I handle her everyday, sometimes I only get to handle her for 10 or so minutes but more often than not we hang out out for 30+ minutes a day. Anyway, she is a hatchling/yearling, 80+g. When I handle her it seems like she is breathing hard or fast, more of a hard breathing though. there is no weezing or mucus or any other signs of a RI. Is it just that her breathing is more pronounced because she is small or is she still scared?

I've noticed that a lot with hatchlings it's a bit of both the reasons you said. It's a lot easier to see them breathing because they are small, but it's also that they tend to be a lot more nervous being handled. I've seen it with every hatchling I've ever handled and they all seem to grow out of it. As long as there are no signs of RI then I wouldn't worry.
