Has anyone used Petfresh litter as a substrate?

My wife keeps guinea pigs (no, not as snake food, as actual pets) and they use this stuff that absorbs the pee and whatnot. It does a really good job.

So another snake keeper told me they started using it and that it's great for humidity if you have issues with it.

Well, I've been using it with my boy Alex for about 2 months now and I must say I am impressed. It's so much easier to spot clean and it keeps the humidity well when you spray it, which I only do about once a week or so.

If you haven't tried it I'd say give it a go.

How much does it cost? We keep ours on cypress and it does good for humidity but anything that holds in more is good in my book.

We get the biggest bags (60 liters) for ~$15-$20 each. The pigs go through about a bag a month but a little goes a long way for a snake. It doesn't deteriorate like mulch does.

Also, I had a brainfart on the name. It's actually called Carefresh. So if any mods feel like changing the subject for me go ahead.

I did consider using it, and have heard of people using it too. Its definitely absorbent and lasts longer when I use them for mice, worth considering. I dont exactly like how it doesn't really spread out very well, its always a thick layer or nothing at all. You can't really thin in out. Also, I'm not sure how it holds up when sprayed down or misted often to keep humidity up. Any light to shed on these 2 things?

I saw a video on youtube where a guy uses it as a substrate in his tubs.

i used it on rodents for a bit but not on snakes...i tend to stick to what is the norm or makes me feel good with the set ups and for now its aspen...ive used other stuff but usually tends to not work too well like cypress mulch and news paper.
