    Excessive Hiding
I know the phrase, a hiding bp, is a happy bp. But I know excessive hiding isn't good either. He stays in his hide, and doesn't come out, like he use to. He came out on a nightly basis for the first month I've had him. Now he hides all the time, and doesn't thermoregulate, he's always in the same spot in the hide. And when I take him out, and move him, he'll stay there.

I don't know whats going on, but he's been like this for a few weeks, and I'm concerned. Husbandry's fine. He hasn't eaten in about a month. He looks like he is about to go into a shed. What could the issue be?

If he hasn't eaten in a month, the husbandry may not be as correct as you think. I'd double check it, and upgrade as needed.

I agree, what are your temps, and how are you measuring them?

90-95 hot spot. 82 cold side. and 80 ambient. I use both an accurite to measure ambient and humidity levels as well as a temp gun.

Do you use a tank? I've always had better luck when I black out the sides and back.

The not eating isn't a good thing, but the not moving isn't a big deal. I never see my Ball move. He likes his warm hide.

Using a tank. Blacked out all the sides, as well as the screen top. I would switch, but I'm not having trouble maintaining proper humidity or temps. He was fine when I first got him. He ate like a pig. Then he stopped eating 3 weeks into me having him. I just want to know whats going on with him...

it's just out of the ordinary for him. I would see him normally on a nightly basis around the same time, and he would come out of his hide to roam and what not. Now I never see him, so I'm just thinking something isn't right, since its out of the ordinary.

Have you kept track of his defecation and times he has passed urates since you've had him?

mmm somewhat. I haven't seen urates in a while. I believe I saw poop like a week after he last ate. I've been looking in both his hides, and haven't seen anything.

I only ask because I'd be looking towards the possibility of constipation. I'm not sure if that would actually cause lethargy and lack of appetite, but I'd be looking to cover all of the bases first.
