Baby ball python won't eat help

My baby ball python will not eat I don't see what I'm doing wrong i have two hides the hot side is 92.5 and warm side is around high 70s iv left him alone for 6days with out touching him I got him off a web site named lllreptile.com oh and also humidity is 70% I also have uth and Aspen bedding I don't know what I'm doing wrong I just dont want to loose him he's also in a 10g glass tank can some one please help me I'm currently trying to feed it it's fuzzy he smells it but just avoids it should I try force feed please just some one help me

How big is he. My guess is its a non started Import baby since LLLreptile doesn't have a good rep selling healthy stock.

Also with it being young offer live mice only to get it interested. If that dont work might have to assist feed to get it started.

Do not force feed! Waaaay too early to even think about that. Are you sure your temps are accurate? The cheap analog guages are not accurate, you didn't mention how you were reading temps. I suggest covering the two sides and back with something dark, like black Con-Tact paper from Home Depot, it's only $6. It will help make him feel more secure. Also here is the caresheet, just look it over to be sure your husbandry is correct.

I'd leave him alone now, glass tanks (even small ones) look huge to a little snake if they aren't blacked out. I'd try that, leave him alone for a week, then try again with a small prey item.

Offer live hopper mouse every 4-5 days. Do so at night time when its darker in the room and if not taken right away, leave in over night. The mouse will not have the ability to harm the snake


We still need to know how big in weight the snake is

I got my BP as a present, and they got him from LLL reptile. He was a hatchling and I think yours probably is also a very small baby.

He didn't eat for a couple months in the beginning, and another member on the forum had a snake from the same clutch and he passed away.

You need to make sure your husbandry is spot on. Get the baby in a small and simple enclosure.

A small live adult mouse left in for a couple hours in the middle of the night worked for me, finally!

He took a very long time to settle in.

Now he is a big boy and doing pretty good :)
