Does your Tegu use it's basking spot?
:DJust curious if other tegus use thier basking spots? My female Red Tegu usually buries herself in the substrate, hangs out in her bathtub or goes inside her hide. Her basking spot is 110 degrees using a Solarglo 125 watt mercury vapour bulb. I have done a lot of reading on the monitor forums and I will be switching this set up to 3 - 40watt flood lamps that are a little closer. any thoughts

Groo loves laying in her basking spot. When she finally gets up in the morning(late, she's always loved sleeping in) she usually goes right for it to lay and nap. Then it's roaming around, digging, eating, drinking with occasional naps under the basking spot again. My monitors don't bask as much, but they do bask some under their light too.
