Rescue ball python

I got a call from a guy about 3 weeks ago who asked me to take one of his little BP's...apparently he decided he wanted one so he went out and bought 3 (which doesn't sound like much to me considering but I suppose that would be a ton of snakes to a newbie).
So here is Sparticus, I don't know much about morphs but I'm sure he's just a petstore normal. He has a little bit of a hard time bending at place on his left side, he seems to have some previously broken ribs. (The owner claimed that he'd been like that so I suppose it happened at the petstore he was from).

Hopefully he'll grow up fat and happy here with us.

Just to say they can recover amazingly well from rib damage.

One of my hatchlings got hurt somehow in his hatchling tub ( never did work out how for certain ) and this is what he looked like;

There is no sign of any bumps, lumps or distortions in him anymore so hopefully your little guy will recover just as well. :gj: :please:

Very nice. I'm sure he'll grow quite well. As has been said, they're tough little animals. :)
The first of my two rescues was one I assumed would not survive. She had been kept in a ten gallon tank on fluffy hamster bedding with no heat source in a cold room with an algae-filled water bowl and one half log hide. Took me over one year to convince the owner that she'd benefit from me taking her, but I couldn't give up. At two years old she (keep in mind female) weighed in at 250g. :colbert:
She has never refused a meal and is now pushing 800g. Poor thing couldn't eat because she had no heat to help her digest the food offered. Plus, here's the kicker... they microwaved the small frozen mice they offered her.

Rescues are quite fun, in my opinion. I love seeing them months later and comparing the first pictures taken of them.
